McPHERSON PUBLIC LIBRARY





Design Central worked with the library staff and DMA Architects on this project to select the finish palette and assemble the furniture specifications for the addition and remodel of the library. The library had already commissioned the stain glass windows that the color palette was based off. Design Central provided the finish documents and furniture bid documents to ensure that the library was completed as the staff envisioned.





The adult library provides several private study areas as well as some small scale lounge pieces nestled within the stacks. Patrons also have a choice of two larger lounger areas to enjoy their favorite book or catch up with the daily newspaper. The library also has a dedicated local history room allowing patrons a place to spread out and learn about their past.



The children’s library is a bright cheerful place where kids can curl up with book near the dragon window or join one of the many youth activities in the basement.
